Worried about TalkTalk cyber attack?
If TalkTalk are or at some time have been your telephone provider, you should be. TalkTalk has been the victim of a cyber attack on their website commonly referred to as DDoS – distributed denial of service attack. This has led to hackers accessing TalkTalk's servers and stealing personal data, which could affect over four million customers. It is currently unknown exactly what data has been stolen but TalkTalk has stated that there is a chance that personal information, bank and credit card details could have been accessed.

Does this affect Tove Valley or is TVB open to similar attacks?
All your Tove Valley data is held on a database and all traffic between any connection to tovevalley.uk is encrypted (note the 'https:' in front of www.tovevalley.uk in the navigation pane of your browser). This means that no-one can 'snoop' this data (e.g. through re-programming your router remotely). It would be silly to claim than no hacker can get to this database, but be assured that every obstacle has been implemented to make it extreamly difficult for them.
